Stephen Carr's red card at Everton on Friday means he will miss the trip to Villa in addition to a two-match ban - including Arsenal - for accumulating 10 yellow cards.
The full-back already faced sitting out the games against Bolton and Arsenal after reaching 10 yellow cards with a booking against Chelsea last week.
His red card for two bookable offences at Goodison Park adds the Villa game to that suspension.
Acting boss David Pleat said at Goodison: "Stephen is the first player at our club to accumulate 10 yellow cards this season.
"We have a very good record - we haven't had a player sent off in the league until now."
