Carlo Cudicini would love to see his friend and former team-mate Gianfranco Zola succeed in management - but he'll be doing all he can to prevent that at West Ham on Sunday.
The pair spent four seasons together at Chelsea between 1999-2003, when Zola left England to return to Italy and Cagliari.
Goalkeeper Carlo is now set to face face Zola the manager for the first time as he comes in for injured Heurelho Gomes at Upton Park.
He said: "I know Gianfranco well and he's done a great job at West Ham.
"Everyone knew him as a player, I knew him personally as a man as well and he's a lovely man and I'd like to see him do well as a manager.
"They are a very good team, Gianfranco will know exactly how he wants his team to play and will be a difficult game for us.
"It's a local derby and everyone knows that games like this are very intense, but we've started well and we'll be confident."
