10.46: CHANCE. Berbatov flicked on free-kick from Robinson, Defoe onto it goalside of Purse, planted shot across Alexander but wide of far post.

22.26: SAVE. Cardiff failed to clear Chimbonda cross, Berbatov pounced on loose ball and struck from 16 yards, ball deflected off Purse and Alexander did well to save initially and then gather loose ball with Defoe closing in.

31.33: CLOSE. Cardiff break led by Flood, played in Chopra, right side of box, chipped it to far post where Thompson would have been able to nod in but ball just too high.

48.03: CLOSE. Berbatov won ball, Malbranque immediately set Defoe away, defenders closing in so had to take early, 18 yards out, flashed inches wide.

61mins: SAVE. Defoe latched onto Berbatov header down, Alexander out to block effort from close range.
