Captain's call

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Jamie Redknapp reflected on the team's weekend exploits against Arsenal and insists it is vital the momentum gained is capitalised on.

The boys rightly won praise for the way they came back from a two-goal deficit to square the match against the now champions, but Jamie knows this will count for little if the spirit of the match is not carried into the game at Aston Villa on Sunday.

"That is the key," pondered the skipper. "I was thinking about it and I feel that people will now be really looking out for our result next week against Villa.

"They will feel we raised our game against Arsenal and ask if we can do it against Villa. People will be questioning that and I think it is important that we show it wasn't a one-off.

"It would be great to go and get a good result there and we still need a couple of points."

Looking back on the Arsenal game, Jamie praised the tactical changes made by David Pleat at half-time that helped alter the course of events.

"It was a fine result for us. When we were 2-0 down it was a horrible situation to be in, they looked so dangerous and were cutting us open.

"David did well at half-time and changed the tactics a little bit, bringing Robbie back into midfield and I think we started to give them a problem.

"I thought the effort we put in in the second half was brilliant and we are just pleased we got a result in the end."
