We travel to the Valley to face Charlton Athletic this afternoon in what is our fourth derby match in five matches.
We then face Bolton in the Worthington Cup on Tuesday before another capital affair against Fulham at the Lane on Saturday week.
We will play 10 derbies in total in league action this season and Glenn insisted: "I think it is harder for a team in London.
"It is harder to win derby matches than it is to win a normal match.
"The crowd get up for it more, there is a bit of rivalry there, no-one likes to lose to fellow London teams so there is always a double obstacle there if you want to be successful, whether that's winning the championship, getting into Europe or even drawing teams in cup games.
"The derbies come around pretty quick. We play Bolton, then we've another derby. They are special games and always tough."
Glenn Hoddle goes along with the theory that it is harder for a London team to succeed in the Premiership.
