CANVASSING SPURS - UPDATE

Minister for Culture David Lammy MP will support the Queens Golden Jubilee Award winning charity Kith & Kids and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club as Patron for their forthcoming event "Canvassing Spurs".

Minister for Culture David Lammy MP will support the Queens Golden Jubilee Award winning charity Kith & Kids and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club as Patron for their forthcoming event "Canvassing Spurs".

Canvassing Spurs chaired by Jerry Hall has seen support from a number of celebrities, international football players and leading social figures. Set to be the most spectacular football charity event in London, White Hart Lane stadium is gearing up to host the art of sports with leading names in the city marking it as a date for their diaries.

David Lammy will host the “Canvassing Spurs†award ceremony at the exhibition of artwork on 30th March 2006 and also attend the glittering Gala Evening on 6th April 2006 at White Hart Lane Stadium.

Patron David Lammy said, "Canvassing Spurs is an excellent idea and I am delighted to be Patron of the event. This unique combination of art and sports is set to make a huge impact on the lives of children and young people with learning disabilities. We are glad that the biggest football charity event this year will be hosted in Tottenham.â€Â

Marjolein de Vries, Director - Kith & Kids said, "It is an honour to welcome David Lammy to Canvassing Spurs and we greatly appreciate his support for raising much needed funds for children and young people with learning disabilitiesâ€Â.

As the event gathers momentum and celebrities paint their canvasses, there is still a last chance to enter art work for the award and to purchase tickets for the Gala Evening.
