Burch heads to City

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Robert Burch has joined Bristol City for an initial one-month loan spell.

The goalkeeper featured in the second half of our penultimate pre-season friendly at Reading, having made seven reserve appearances last season. In the previous campaign, Robert enjoyed a lengthy spell on the first team bench as cover for Kasey Keller following the departure of Neil Sullivan.

Martin Jol views the switch to Ashton Gate as the ideal opportunity for the England under-20 cap to get games under his belt.

"That is the main thing," considered the Head Coach. "You always have to make decisions though, Marton Fulop would like to go on loan but it is impossible sometimes. Paul Robinson was injured for a while and I need three good goalkeepers here.

"Robert is the fourth and his doing well, he is a talent, but he needs some games. We have let him go on loan and hopefully he will get games under his belt."
