'Bunje' receives clearance

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Goran Bunjevcevic has had his work permit application accepted by the Department of Employment and he is now free to begin his career at the Lane.

The highly-rated defender, recently described as 'a Franz Beckenbauer type player' becomes Glenn's third signing of the close-season following the captures of Teddy Sheringham and Gus Poyet.

The Karlovac-born defender’s last three clubs have all been in Belgrade, he turned out for Graficar, Rad and Red Star in that order before electing to sample life in London.

The 29-year-old has won 14 caps for Yugoslavia and possesses a League Championship and Yugoslav Cups winners medal from his time with Red Star Belgrade.

His only previous appearance in England was for Red Star against Leicester City in the 2000-01 UEFA Cup.
