Browny looking for repeat

Posted on 24 June 2004  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Our opening fixture next season immediately struck a chord with Michael Brown - the all-action midfielder made his Spurs debut against Liverpool last term.

It was the perfect start for the midfielder as goals from secured a 2-1 win at White Hart Lane.

He is naturally hoping for a repeat performance when we kick-off our Premiership campaign in August although he realises both teams go into the new season with different outlooks.

Where we have appointed a new management team of Sporting Director Frank Arnesen, Head Coach Jacques Santini and first assistant Martin Jol, Liverpool also have a new manager with Rafael Benitez arriving after clinching the Spanish title and UEFA Cup with Valencia.

"Liverpool will be the same as us and we're both in the same situation," said Michael. "It's a new beginning for both clubs and hopefully we'll get the better start in August.

"I made my debut against Liverpool back in January and this will be an exciting first game, especially as we're at home.

"Looking at the fixtures, we've two massive games to start with,. Liverpool then Newcastle away. United and Chelsea aren't too far away either.

"It always a bit of a buzz when the fixtures come out, finding out who you are playing and you are counting down straight away."
