Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Michael Brown is back in full training following his recovery from a double-injury setback.

The combative midfielder missed the final five games of last season after sustaining small fracture in his foot. He also had surgery over the close-season to cure a stomach problem that had been troubling him for a little while.

So it was a big bonus for Brownie when he was able to get out among the lads again in training on Thursday.

"I had my first full training session and it’s always nice to be back out there getting a taste of it," beamed the 28-year-old. "I trained for 45 minutes on Tuesday and had a rest day on Wednesday when I came in for a warm down so it was then full on with the boys and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s great to be back in full training and to be able to do everything again. Now it’s a matter of winding up my fitness levels.

"I’ve been out for four months with two injuries but hopefully now I’m seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s been a very frustrating time for me but the medical staff have helped me a lot. I’ve looked to get back as quickly as possible and they’ve kept hold of me. I’m ready to go now."

Meanwhile, Brownie is fully prepared for the added competition for midfield places following the signings of Teemu Tainio and Edgar Davids.

"We have lots of quality midfielders, new players and it’s an exciting time for the club. I can’t wait to get going, try to get in the team and get points on the board, which is what we’re all aiming for.

Last season there were five midfielders, now we have seven. You get used to it at a club like Tottenham. All you can do is try your best and be available at all times and hopefully do enough to get the nod.

"I’m starting behind because of the injuries so know I’ve a fight on my hands but I’ll relish the challenge, get fit and try to get in the team."
