Martin Jol had asked Michael Brown for goals - but he wasn't complaining after his mega-assist for the winner at Blackburn on Saturday.
The midfielder's only goal this season came against Bolton in the Carling Cup.
But his contribution in us winning the three points at Ewood Park was invaluable.
Browny intercepted a pass just outside our area, managed to shake off the attentions of Tugay, cut inside Nils-Eric Johansson, across Andy Todd before squaring in the Rovers box for Robbie Keane to slot home.
"He is a character and that's a big reason why I play him," said Head Coach Martin. "He is a terrific lad with a good character and that's why he's in the team because he has that character, he's fit, he can pressurise people and he can play a bit as well.
"He showed with the final pass a little vision as well.
"I told him that he's played for me but I wanted goals from him, he made a goal so I'm happy with that."
