We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Broomfield as the Club's Chief Scout.

Born in Bristol, Ian began scouting part-time with Southampton and then Leeds United. The 58-year-old was appointed Chief Scout at Leeds United in 1998 before joining Aston Villa in a similar capacity five years later.

In 2006, Ian left Villa Park to join Harry Redknapp at Portsmouth where he served as Chief Scout for two-and-a-half years.

Ian started his playing career as a striker with Bristol City and was selected to train with the England youth squad before going on to play for Stockport County as well as competing in the top-flight in South Africa.
