Radek Cerny believes a Reading side in desperate need of three points will be the perfect challenge for us to rise to at the Madejski Stadium tomorrow.

The Royals will be out to attack as they battle to avoid relegation from the Barclays Premier League, and our goalkeeper feels this could work in our favour.

Whereas a Bolton Wanderers side in a similar situation came to The Lane very much on the defensive last weekend, Radek hopes a more adventurous Reading side will leave gaps for our attacking players to exploit.

He said: “An away game will be different because, like with the Wigan game two weeks ago, our opponents will try to be more offensive.

“Reading have to try to win the game against us, and this could work in our favour because when a game is up and down, there will be more space.

“We need to score a second goal to kill off games and we haven’t been doing that, so this will be the key on Saturday.”

Radek has also laughed off any suggestion that Juande Ramos’ side have thrown in the towel for the season with little left to play for over the last two games.

The Czech added: “We need to win games because we haven’t done so in our last five. I know it is coming towards the end of the season, but that doesn’t matter.

“This is still the Premier League and it’s a dream for everyone in the world to play on this stage.”
