Darren Bent admits the confidence is flowing after he bagged his ninth goal in four pre-season games against Celtic last night.
The striker has played the full 90 minutes of each of those matches, and he feels the goals are coming with the sharpness that is building in every game.
Darren has also paid tribute to the service he is receiving from a creative midfield and now cannot wait for the season proper to start.
He said: "Things are going well for me at the moment and I'm enjoying playing 90 minutes like I have done in the last few games.
"I was always confident that the more games I played, the more I'd get back in the swing of things and the goals would come.
"But it's a luxury for me at the moment to be able to have so many quality players around me who can create chances for me to score. Hopefully that will continue.
"Coming back from the summer break I was looking to improve on my game and we all worked hard out in Spain, and that seems to be paying dividends because we're looking a lot fitter than all of the teams we are playing."
