Boys on tour

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Pat Holland reckons clocking up the miles in the FA Youth Cup is a great experience for our Academy boys.

Our tour of England in the prestigious competition continues tonight with a fifth round tie against Leeds United at Elland Road.

We've already been successful at Walsall and Bolton in the Under-18 tournament. "It's another big test, another away game, another long trip and another great stadium for the boys to play in," said boss Pat.

"It's a great experience for them and, hopefully, one day they'll return and play in front of a packed house."

Leeds are certainly a club of youth pedigree with the likes of Woodgate, Smith, Harte and McPhail all progressing through the ranks.

"They have a reputation of producing young players and it's a big challenge for our lads up there," said Pat. "I've watched tapes of them and they have one or two decent players.

"They are well organised and it will be a difficult game but it's something the lads have to get used to."
