BOUNCING BACK

Michael Dawson is looking for our ability to bounce back to come to the fore again against Aston Villa on Saturday.

We performed admirably at Liverpool last week following the shock FA Cup exit at Leicester City and it took a special strike from Harry Kewell to win it 1-0 for the in-form Anfield side.

The lads have responded well to disappointments this season - not least to going out of the Carling Cup at Grimsby, a result we followed with a run of one defeat in 12 in the Premiership.

More recently, we hit back from the defeat at West Brom to beat Newcastle and Manchester City back to back.

Now, after three successive away games, we return to the Lane to take on Villa on Saturday and 'Daws' is determined to get back to winning ways.

That's what it's all about," he said.

"We've had two disappointing results but last week we went out and played well against Liverpool and I felt we were unfortunate not to get anything.

"Liverpool are a good side and the way we played underlined how well things have been going this season.

"Having said that we played well but didn't get a result and that's the most important thing. We have to respond now on Saturday.

"Going into the game it's one we have to win and hopefully our home form can continue. Villa will want to bounce back as well from losing against West Ham so we know what we're up against."
