The pitch will be played on for the first time tonight when Celtic visit the Lane and Glenn admits it is a slight risk to use it so early.
"Yes, it looks very nice," said Glenn. "It's very early to play on it, we're taking a bit of a risk playing two games in a short space of time.
"It's only eight weeks old and it will get better from where it is at the moment, but at this moment in time it is looking very good - like most pitches are.
"Our test will come round about November, December, January where normally it starts to break up a bit. If this can improve it over that period of the year then that is when it's going to show its worth."
The pitch is designed to withstand the battering that these months bring, while always providing a flat, durable surface.
Glenn is delighted that a lush new playing surface is in place at the Lane - and hopes it holds up during the winter period.
