The Frenchman arrived at Spurs Lodge this morning for his first full day as a Spurs player and Glenn took time out before training to explain the thinking behind his latest recruit.
"We're delighted with what we've done so far and feel that we've now got great options up there at the cutting edge," said the boss, who feels that having forward options will assist in sneaking the odd win against the run of play over the course of a season.
"That is something that every team needs if you are to achieve anything. That is the difference sometimes - we have to play well to win. Certain clubs sometimes don't play well but have that cutting edge and win. I think this what we now have at this club.
"It would be nice to win a few games this season when perhaps we have not been in total control and nick a win or two!
"We've got the talent to choose from up front now, but it might take a little time for everyone to gel together.
Glenn Hoddle says that the addition of Fredi Kanoute to his striking ranks will offer the team a further vital cutting edge.
