Sebastien Bassong and Benoit Assou-Ekotto both started Cameroon's World Cup opener against Japan - but were left disappointed by a 1-0 defeat in Bloemfontein.
The Indomitable Lions lost out to Keisuke Honda's goal in the 38th minute at the Free State Stadium.
It's a huge blow for the lads as Sebastien explained beforehand that Cameroon were looking to start well in Group E with matches against Denmark and Holland to follow.
As expected, Holland beat Denmark in the group opener earlier in the afternoon, so Seb and Benoit must now take something from their next match against Denmark on Saturday.
