We take on Alan Curbishley's men before the Carling Cup last 16 tie at Burnley next Tuesday, November 9, and then the big one against Arsenal at the Lane on Saturday week, November 13.
The derby against Charlton follows the disappointment of the weekend defeat at Fulham - our third successive reverse in the Premiership.
Head Coach Jacques said: "The game against Fulham was disappointing and we need to find a solution because next week is very important.
"We have two games at home against Charlton and Arsenal and in-between another important game in the Carling Cup against Burnley. We have possibilities in this competition.
"It is difficult at this moment. We have three or four players injured, Sean Davis hasn't played for two months, Simon Davies was out for a long time and perhaps isn't ready 100 per cent.
"We know when we play derbies it is important for the club and the fans but at Fulham we didn't have a good game and had a bad result.
"But I repeat what I said after two or three games that this season is very long and very hard because we have a new team with new players and young players. We need time."
Jacques Santini has underlined the importance of our next three games in a seven-day spell starting against Charlton on Saturday.
