'Big Pat' on BBC2

A documentary on our legendary goalkeeper Pat Jennings will be screened on BBC2 in the early hours of Sunday.

'Big Pat' takes a look at where it all started for Pat in Newry, Northern Ireland - the pitches where he played are now called 'Jennings Park' - through to moving to England and Watford and his great years at Spurs and later Arsenal all the way through to his last game against Bazil in the 1986 World Cup.

The documentary, shot last season, shows some of the fantastic saves Pat made for Spurs including two penalties against Liverpool at Anfield in 1973 and his heroics for Northern Ireland against England at Wembley in a World Cip qualifier in 1985 when he kept a clean sheet to qualify for the 1986 finals in Mexico.

The programme - part of the 'The Season Ticket' series - airs on BBC at 1.05am on Sunday morning.
