The leftie, on loan from Charlton, now enters his fourth month at the club since joining just before the August transfer deadline.
"It is good that I can carry on," reacted Paul to the extension. "I've enjoyed it here for three months and hopefully I'll enjoy the fourth month as well. Hopefully we can get a few more results together."
Paul is now aiming for Carling Cup success against Boro tonight in what he suspects is the biggest cup occasion of his career.
"It is a big game for the club and, obviously, for me. I don't think I've ever played in a cup quarter-final at this level.
"It means a lot to the club, one that has played in many of these games and reached a lot of finals. We have a great chance again if we can get through on the night.
"I think Middlesbrough have got the best record in the Premiership recently for not leaking goals, so they will be hard to break down. But we are at home and are going to go out and attack and hopefully get a result."
Paul Konchesky hopes to celebrate the further month's extension to his loan spell at the club by helping us overcome Middlesbrough in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup tonight.
