Jermaine Jenas had no hesitation in describing Sunday's win at high-flying Villa as our best of the Premier League campaign.

JJ laid the foundations for the 2-1 success with the opening goal after four minutes with Darren Bent's close range tap-in from Robbie Keane's shot doubling the lead four minutes into the second half.

Villa finally broke through our otherwise outstanding defensive barrier via John Carew's header five minutes from time but there were no further scares.

The win took us up to a season-high 11th place, level on points with Manchester City in 10th and just five points off West Ham in seventh. It also stretched our run to five games without defeat in the league and one loss in the last eight.

"It was a massive game for us to keep that run going," said JJ.

"Villa are right up there and it proves we shouldn't be where we are in the league, we should be up there where they are.

"That's frustrating because we know we're better than that.

"We're unbeaten in five, the team is playing well, getting into a rhythm and it's a good feeling at the minute.

"We'll continue trying to improve week in, week out but it was a good win and will fill the team with confidence."
