The stylish midfielder marked his White Hart Lane debut with a memorable goal on what proved to be a memorable occasion for our recruit from Liverpool.
"I think that's as good a strike as I've probably hit ever on the volley, to be honest," pondered Jamie. "It was good, I really enjoyed it and the fans were fantastic to me - it meant a lot to me when they gave me a good ovation when I went off.
"They are the sort of things you never forget and I really enjoyed it," he added, before agreeing with Glenn in wishing the goal had been saved for Premiership action.
"I do, I would much rather it had been against Everton away. I would be nice if I can do one then.
"It was nice and I enjoyed it. It was obviously nice to score, but I thought we played some great stuff in the first 40 minutes.
"We let it slip it a bit in the second half but, for me, it showed how much they wanted to win when they scored - they were all right over to Crespo celebrating.
"They didn't want to get beaten so with their squad I think it was a really good effort. We had a couple of players missing through injury and I think we played really well."
While he relished his first appearance at the Lane in a friendly, Jamie is certainly looking forward playing there for real.
"I can't wait, I really enjoyed making a sort of debut there the other day and hopefully I shown people what I can do and that I'm fit."
Jamie Redknapp says his stunning strike against Lazio on Sunday is as good a volley as he's ever hit.
