This Thursday we play our first game in the group stage of the UEFA Cup when we face Besiktas. Supporters are reminded that they MUST NOT travel without a match ticket. Tickets will NOT be available on the night to Spurs fans.

Supporters with a ticket who are travelling to Besiktas can find a range of travel and tourist information by CLICKING HERE. You can also find further advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office by CLICKING HERE.

Supporters on official Club travel packages will be collected from the airport and dropped off in Taksim Square. Here you will be able to sample some of the delights of Istanbul as it is the modern centre on the European side of the city and surrounded by hotels, restaurants, bars and shops.

Kick-off is scheduled for 8pm local time and the Stadium will open at 6pm. Considering the number of Spurs fans who are travelling to the match and to ensure the safety and security of all our fans, it is essential that supporters arrive for the match as early as possible. This will help to ensure that safe entry to the ground and that fans don’t miss any of the game.

Please note that all the usual regulations apply with regards to what items may be brought into the ground and all Spurs supporters will be subject to a search prior to entry. Besiktas will allow Spurs fans to enter with banners (provided they do not carry any offensive wording) and flags (without poles). For the added safety of our fans, there will be several Tottenham Hotspur stewards and officials at the game.

The Club would like to remind fans travelling to the game that as a Tottenham Hotspur supporter you are an ambassador for the Club. We ask that your behaviour reflect that at all times, especially as the date of the game coincides with Ramadan, the most important month in the Islamic calendar and therefore an extremely important time for many people in Turkey.

If during your trip to Turkey you require assistance, you can contact the British Consulate-General:
