Martin Jol reported that Dimitar Berbatov suffered a groin injury in the first half of Wednesday night's Carling Cup semi-final first leg against Arsenal.
The striker was forced to limp out of the action with only 18 minutes on the clock at the Lane.
He'd certainly made his mark in that opening period - striking the woodwork after four minutes, heading home the opening goal after 12 and setting up another chance for Jermain Defoe after 16 before heading off down the tunnel.
"Berbatov's problem was his groin," confirmed Martin. "He scored and then came to the touchline and told us he had a minor problem. Hopefully he won't be out for too long."
