Dimitar Berbatov was out and about in Enfield on Monday to support the Club's schools programme running throughout the Borough.

Our Bulgarian striker paid a visit to Southbury Primary School where he took a keen interest in a football session, run by Tottenham Hotspur Foundation coaches, even joining in for a kick-around himself.

'Berba' then took part in a Question & Answer session with Year 6 pupils, who were delighted to find out how the 26-year-old first got into football and who his favourite ever players are.

One of the pupils taking part was young Josh Onomah (pictured right), who currently plays for our Academy’s Under-11 side and perhaps hopes to one day follow in the footsteps of his school’s famous guest.

Dimitar said: “It’s very important for all the players at the Club to keep supporting education in local schools.

“The coaches make the football sessions really enjoyable for all the boys and girls, and I always think how great it would have been if there were things like this when I was growing up.

“I’m fully behind this programme and it’s great to see football helping keep young people healthy and active.”
