The young international signed up on his 17th birthday after impressing above his age group in the Under-19s this season.
Recently on England duty again in a tournament in Portugal, the elegant defender will now knuckle down and pursue his Premiership dream.
"It is quite young to get a professional contract. I suppose I’ve been quite lucky," he admitted. "Most players are on a YTS so I suppose I’m quite lucky to sign professional at this age. I’ve got to knuckle down now, keep working hard and try to get into that first team.
"I think I’ve adapted well to playing a year up and coming into the Under-19s and that experience has helped me.
"I want to push for the reserves now and try to get a couple of training sessions in with them and a few games in by next season.
"I’ll just keep working hard, work on my game, try to improve on my weaknesses and go from there."
Ben Bowditch has been handed the perfect birthday present — a professional contract.
