The big games keep coming and after fine wins against West Ham, Arsenal and Inter in the last fortnight, the full-back is aiming for a fifth victory on the trot in the Premier League in the 4pm kick-off.
We're unbeaten in 12 as we head to Merseyside to meet a Reds team in fine form themselves, with their last five wins in the Premier League reading 3-0 (QPR), 3-0 (Sunderland), 5-0 (Norwich), 5-0 (Swansea) and 4-0 (Wigan). They've also picked up draws against Arsenal and City to sit seventh in the table.
"It’s a tough game, Anfield isn’t an easy place to go and play," said Benoit. "They also want to finish in the European places at the end of the season, so it’s important for both teams. Arsenal don't play, so it’s also a chance to go further ahead.
"It’s important to win, the more you win the more you have confidence, that becomes spirit and that can change your mentality. Then, when you go on the pitch, you only have one solution and that’s to win."
Meanwhile, Benoit echoed the thoughts of his team-mates and Andre Villas-Boas by underlining the importance of keeping a clean sheet as we toppled Inter Milan 3-0 in the first leg of our Europa League, Round of 16 first leg at the Lane.
"We played a good game with good intensity and we made it very difficult for them," he added. "It was important to score early. The Italian teams have lots of experience and they know how to manage a game. We scored very early and then the game was more open.
"It was important not to concede a goal as well. Even one goal can give Inter confidence but I think now if we can score just one goal at the San Siro we will make it difficult for them. So that was important for us, Brad, the defence, for everyone."
