Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Robert Burch admits he'll be happy when 2004 is over.

After a memorable 2003, the young goalkeeper has just returned from another injury that has badly hampered his time on loan to Stevenage Borough.

Burchy was on the bench as Kasey Keller's cover for 19 of 23 matches up until the end of last year.

Then injuries struck - a knee problem, a shoulder injury and then damaged ankle ligaments meant he was on the bench just another six times from New Year until the end of the season.

Summer saw the arrival of Paul Robinson and Martin Fulop and Rob slipped down the pecking order.

Still positive, he battled back to fitness, played a couple of pre-season friendlies and set up a loan deal at Stevenage.

That's when injury struck again. "It sums my year up," conceded Burchy at Spurs Lodge. "I had a recurrence of the ankle injury although it's not too bad and I've trained again.

"I should be fit for Saturday and in the frame to play but Stevenage's goalkeeper is fit again, they bought him in pre-season so if he's fit I suppose he'll play."

His position is a marked contrast to last season when the England youth international was always only an injury or red card away from his first-team debut.

"It was great being on the bench and doing well then suddenly I got an injury just after Christmas," he reflected.

"That was my knee, then I injured my shoulder and I just got back from that and tore a ligament in my ankle and was out for six weeks. It was so disappointing knowing I'd been on the bench until Christmas.

"It's different this season because Paul Robinson's come in so Kasey is on the bench and Martin Fulop is also here.

"At the moment I'm fourth choice so I need to get out on loan, get my experience this year and see what happens after that.

"I just want to play. Training went well in pre-season, I played a couple of friendlies and thought I did well. Touch wood I'll be okay now and that will last for the season."
