Top scorer Lee Barnard is set to return to reserve team action against Leicester City at Hinckley on Tuesday night.

The striker joins midfielder Kieran McKenna on the comeback trail at Hinckley United FC after recovering from a foot injury at the start of February - a setback just days after he was on the substitutes bench in the Premiership against Charlton. Kieran returns after a hamstring problem.

'Barney' remains one goal ahead of Arsenal's Arturo Lipoli with 18 to his name in the Barclays Reserve League South despite missing our last five matches.

"They've had fantastic seasons and it’s great to have them back," said coach Clive Allen. "We lost them at a crucial point of the season when they were mainstays of the team.

"They've worked very hard to get back to fitness and they both want to play their part in the run-in to the end of the season.

"Andy Barcham has led the line particularly well but I’ve no doubts he will be helped with the return of Barney. We all know the form he was in before the injury and I’d like to see him pick that up and score a few more between now and the end of the season."
