Andy Barcham has signed a new contract to extend his stay at the Club.

Andy Barcham has signed a new contract to extend his stay at the Club.

The Reserve team striker and Academy graduate marked his return from injury with a goal for Clive Allen's side in Monday evening's draw with Watford and has been rewarded for his progress with an extension to his current agreement.

The speedy forward particularly caught the eye in his second season of full-time football at the Club when he was a key figure in our Under-18 side's run to the semi-final of the FA Youth Cup in 2005, scoring goals against Nottingham Forest, Liverpool and Watford.

He has since made the transition into reserve team football and played his part in the winning of the Barclays Premier Reserve League South, making 19 appearances over the course of last season.

"Andy is one of a group of lads who are coming through together and developing into very good players already," said manager Martin Jol. "We are very happy with him and he demonstrated his ability with a fine goal on Monday after coming back from injury.
