The highly-rated full-back and skipper of our U18 side has travelled to Dubai with England for the World U20 Championships.
But everyone else is fit and coach Pat Holland is looking forward to the third round tie at The Hawthorns, kick-off 7pm.
"Everyone is fit," confirmed Pat. "We've lost young Phil Ifil because he's gone with England U20s to the World Championships and that's a great honour for the kid.
"To lose the captain might be a blow but Kieran McKenna will slot into right-back and he's done really well in training - we've been pleased with him.
"We're bringing in a schoolboy as well, Stuart Lewis, so that will be a great experience for him. We did the same with Ifil last season. It's a little bonus because you can see a kid play at that level and if he does well, terrific, he might be one for the future.
"Overall we're okay fitness wise and the lads have worked hard."
The lads have reached the semi-finals and quarter-finals of this most prestigious youth tournament in the last two seasons and Pat says they can't wait to get started again.
"I'm looking forward to it and I know the lads are as well," he added. "There is always a buzz at the start of the Youth Cup and we've been fairly lucky in recent seasons where we've crept on in the tournament. That always gives the place a buzz and it helps the league football as well.
"I've never been to The Hawthorns throughout my career, as a player, manager or coach, so it will be a new experience for me as well."
Squad: Eyre, McKenna, Hodges, Dobson, Francis, Barcham, Hicks, O'Hara, Lewis, Malcolm, Thyer, Daniels, Lee, Forecast, Stevens, Wright.
