Sebastien Bassong believes Wednesday night's trip to Blackburn is ideal as we look to move on as quickly as possible from Sunday's FA Cup loss at Fulham.
Three goals in the space of 12 minutes including two penalties - plus a red card to Michael Dawson - sealed our fate as we suffered a 4-0 defeat in the fourth round at Craven Cottage.
The squad now returns to Premier League action and another tough trip, this time to Ewood Park.
"It was a bad day for us and we have to forget it and move on," reasoned a disappointed Seb at Craven Cottage.
"We now have to go up to Blackburn and try to win that game. We have no choice.
"We have to look forward and the good thing is that the next game comes around very quickly and that will help us move on.
"We've showed already that we have character in this team and now we have to do it again."
Harry Redknapp summed up the Fulham defeat by admitting 'everything that could have gone wrong, went wrong'.
Sebastien agreed that we were the architects of our own downfall. "We killed ourselves, we made bad mistakes and it cost us the game," he added.
"It was difficult to come back from two penalties, 2-0 and a red card. What can we say? It was a bad day and we did everything wrong. That's it."
