The players had their first serious session back on the ball on the second day of pre-season training on Tuesday.
The main group had an eight-a-side possession drill over half a pitch as part of a busy morning schedule.
Tuesday's session started with stretching exercises and sprints before the ball work and ended with a tough endurance run around a figure-of-eight course.
Meanwhile, the goalkeepers - including new signing Brad Friedel - joined in with the early running before heading off for their specialist training with coach Tony Parks.
