Away the lads

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

While recent attention has focused on our impressive home form, Chris Hughton is rightly pleased with our performances on the road this season.

Wednesday's draw against West Brom might have taken the shine somewhat off our form at the Lane but we've still won seven, drawn two and only lost one of our last 10 games at home in the Barclays Premiership.

But our away form is just as noteworthy. For a start, we're unbeaten against the current top five with only Arsenal left for us to visit on Monday. We've also win at Newcastle, Manchester City and Blackburn.

Indeed, one more away victory will take us to six for the season - our best on the road since 1995-95.

Coach Chris said: "We've been better away from home this season, no doubt about it.

"We've been tighter and even in games we haven't won or picked up points from we've given a better account of ourselves than in previous seasons.

"Regardless of how the season ends, that's a very positive note for us and something to build on next season.

"There have been some good performances and it's the direction we want to go.

"There has been a problem in the past where we haven't picked up points away from home. I can remember seasons where we've looked very good at home and won a good percentage of games but been equally as bad away from home.

"The balance had to shift a little and we've certainly done that this season."
