August win don't mean a thing

Posted on 10 March 2005  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Robbie Keane says it's a positive to have a win at Newcastle already in the bag this season - but it won't count for a thing on Sunday.

We secured a 1-0 win at St James Park in the Barclays Premiership back in August thanks to Thimothee Atouba's fine strike.

But things have changed since then - both teams have a new Head Coach/manager for a start with Graeme Souness taking over from Bobby Robson in September and Martin Jol replacing Jacques Santini in November.

"We went up there and got a good result at the start of the season but as everyone knows, the FA Cup and Premier League are completely different. This is a special game," said the Irish star - pictured left with aRed Nosein supportComic Relief.

"It's good to have that result there earlier in the season and it was a good three points for us but this is another occasion. It won't make too much difference.

"The lads know what to expect. I'm sure we'll go up there with confidence looking forward to the game rather than worrying about the fans and the stadium.

"We want to go there, enjoy the occasion and leave St James Park with the right result. It's a special game and we're looking forward to it."
