This is your last chance to submit questions to Steffen Freund for
our popular 'Ask....' feature in hotspur magazine.
The German international became a firm favourite with fans in his four years at the Lane between 1999 and 2003 during which he picked up a League Cup winners medal in 1999 and overcame a serious knee injury to play 141 matches in our colours in all competitions.
A member of the German squad for Euro 96 in England and the 1998 World Cup, Steffen helped Borussia Dortmund to Champions League success in 1997 and also benefited from the collapse of the Berlin Wall in 1989, enabling him to ply his trade in western Europe.
Most recently assistant coach of the German Under-20 team, Steffen was drafted in to coach alongside Nigerian boss Berti Vogts during the 2008 African Cup of Nations. He will next take up assistant duties with Germany Under-18s.
In the meantime, he's completing his UEFA Pro Licence.
