Jonathan Woodgate feels Darren Bent's fine form fully warrants a place in the England squad.
The striker with 11 goals in 18 appearances (13 starts) in all competitions for us this season has been called up by Fabio Capello for Wednesday's friendly against Germany at the Olympic Stadium, Berlin.
‘Benty' will be looking for his fourth cap after winning his last against Croatia just over a year ago.
"I'm pleased to see him in the squad, he deserves it," said Woody at Spurs Lodge.
"I said at the start of the season that he would score goals for us as long as he had a run of games, he's had that run and now he's scored seven goals in the league and 11 in total.
"He's in great form and we're all delighted for him."
