Tom was drafted late into Stuart Pearce's squad and prepared to join up with Fabio Capello's senior squad for the friendlies against USA and Trinidad & Tobago in perfect style by drilling home a penalty to open the scoring after 19 minutes and then setting-up Theo Walcott's goal seven minutes later as it finished 2-0 at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground.
Earning his 26th cap at Under-21 level, Tom played the full 90 minutes in front of the watching Capello and had the honour of wearing the captain's armband in the second half when David Wheater was substituted at half-time.
Jamie entered the fray after 56 minutes for his second cap in a left-back role and saw plenty of the ball, looking to bomb forward at every opportunity.
Chris, who has played right-back in his short Spurs career so far, stepped into a central defensive role and his side were somewhat unfortunate not to take the lead after going close on a number of occasions before Adam Johnson was fouled to allow Tom to open the scoring. They also created chances after that in an even first half but England were comfortable winners in the end.
