TOM IN UNDER-21 SQUAD

Tom Huddlestone has been drafted into the England Under-21 squad for Thursday’s friendly with Wales Under-21 at Wrexham’s Racecourse Ground.Coach Stuart Pearce has called upon the 21-year-old midfielder, who received his first call-up to Fabio Capello’s senior squad on Sunday, after the withdrawal of five players due to a mixture of injury and club commitments.

Tom joins Jamie O’Hara in the Young Lions squad, and the pair could come up against Chris Gunter, who is in the Welsh party.
