Harry Redknapp will make a late decision on the fitness of Jermaine Jenas ahead of Wednesday night's clash against City.

The midfielder missed Saturday's loss against Wolves after a bout of food poisoning.

"It was JJ's first day back in today." said Harry after training on Tuesday. "He's been a bit rough. We'll see how he is tomorrow. It's a close call."

Harry also insisted Luka Modric would remain on the bench against City having returned from a three-month injury absence against Wolves.

Luka came on for the final half-hour on Saturday. "He couldn't train on Monday because he was so sore," explained Harry. "He's not quite ready for a start. He's trained hard but there is nothing like playing matches and the game took its toll."

Harry added that neither Ledley King (knee) or Jonathan Woodgate (groin) were ready to return and remain on the sidelines with goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini, who is making good progress from wrist and pelvic injuries.
