Harry Redknapp felt we bossed Wednesday's Carling Cup quarter-final once Watford had rocked us with an early goal.
We were slow to find our feet in freezing conditions at Vicarage Road whereas the Hornets flew out of the traps and grabbed the advantage in the 16th minute when Tamas Priskin fired home from the edge of the box.
We clawed our way back into the game, Aaron Lennon forced Scott Loach into a couple of fine saves, Roman Pavlyuchenko struck the woodwork and we finally levelled in added time when Jermaine Jenas tripped by Ross Jenkins and Pavlyuchenko scored from the penalty spot.
The winner arrived 15 minutes from time when the ball flew from Liam Bridcutt's challenge on Jenas into the path of Darren Bent and the striker did the rest from 15 yards.
"I'm very pleased," said Harry. "We started slowly and found ourselves 1-0 down early on but once that goal went in we settled down and bossed the game.
"Watford came out firing on all cylinders and looked dangerous.
"We got on top of the game after that, camped in their half, created and missed chances, Roman Pavlyuchenk hit the ball and eventually the goal came.
"Watford kept going in the second half and never gave up but it was just a case of sticking our chances away."
Manchester United beat Blackburn in Wednesday's other quarter-final so it's ourselves, United, Burnley and Derby County in Saturday's draw for the semi-finals.
