Reserve game tonight

06 October 2008

We take on Portsmouth in the Barclays Reserve League South at Leyton Orient FC tonight, kick-off 7pm.

Clive Allen's side will be looking to build on what has been a mixed start to the campaign so far.

A thrilling opening day fight-back from 2-0 down to beat West Brom 3-2 was followed by a narrow away defeat at Aston Villa.

But it has now been a month since the last league fixture, so our Development Coach insists his team are itching to get back into the swing of things.

Clive said: "The lads are looking forward to getting back into the competitive side of things, because although we've had practice games, it's never quite like the real thing.

"We've trained very well and we knew from before the season started that there would be gaps in between league games.

"Games against Portsmouth have always been interesting over the years and we've had some good results, so we need to approach this game as we always do with the intention of winning."

Tonight's squad:
Cesar Sanchez, Jamie Butler, Adam Smith, Takura Mtandari, Dorian Dervite, Yuri Berchiche, Cian Hughton, Ricardo Rocha, Kyle Fraser-Allen, David Hutton, Hossam Ghaly, Kieran McKenna, Jacques Maghoma, Charlie Daniels, Danny Hutchins, Alex Olsen, Adel Taarabt
