YOU HAVE to say there are certain similarities between Holland and England in that neither team has played particularly well but still got the results in this tournament.
Until now it's been all about individuals like Arjen Robben and Joe Cole making the difference. That's okay because it's about the quality of those individual players but in the World Cup it's the team that matters and neither team has showed that yet.
Of course, for myself and everyone at Spurs, it has been disappointing not to see more of Aaron Lennon, Michael Carrick and Jermaine Jenas. Everyone saw what Aaron did against Trinidad & Tobago, he changed the pattern of that game. All of a sudden England had an outlet on the right, genuine pace and you need players like that. Hopefully we will see him again soon.
Staying with England, I thought the first half against Sweden was the best so far but unfortunately the second half was the same as the rest of the tournament.
One concern for both teams is that they must have some of the lowest figures in terms of chances created. That's strange because both teams are known for their attacking football.
But England have got the results, Holland have got the results and both teams are in the second round, so we can look forward to those games against Ecuador and Portugal respectively on Sunday.
