Kyle Walker is relishing the chance of making another stride in his career progression for England Under-21s against Greece tonight.
The young defender has earned his second call up to the Young Lions squad having first been included in Stuart Pearce's setup last November.
And although he is yet to win a cap at this level, having represented his country at other age groups, Kyle hopes extensive first team experience during his loan spell at former club Sheffield United this season leaves him prepared to make the step up.
He said: "I'd love to get a first cap. It's a 24-man squad so I'll have to do well in training and prove that I can play.
"This season I've played for the Under-19s and 20s so hopefully I'll get on and show what I can do for the 21s.
"It would also give me the chance to get more game time under my belt after coming back from Sheffield United. It's always a great honour to play for England."
Kyle is yet to make a senior appearance for Spurs having featured in a number of squads since being recalled from his Bramall Lane loan a month ago.
But despite being only 19 years of age, he is itching to show fans at the Lane what he can do, adding: "The first couple of weeks I was really nervous but now I feel I'm ready and hopefully if I get my chance I'll prove that to everyone."
