We jetted out to Cyprus on Wednesday morning for Thursday’s 5.45pm kick-off (3.45pm UK) with a commanding 6-1 lead from the first leg at the Lane.
That should ensure a safe passage into the group stages of the competition but coach Chris is looking beyond this second leg.
He said: “The approach is that we’ve taken a strong squad and the feeling going into the game is that it’s one we want to win.
“For us, it’s not just about Thursday’s game, it’s also about going into Sunday’s match at Liverpool in good form and that means continuing the momentum from the comeback against Aston Villa on Monday night.
“We’re also looking to be solid and not concede, so there is plenty we can take out of it.”
Chris agreed that Anorthosis Famagusta will have a point to prove to their home fans after that first leg.
“They go into the game with a five-goal deficit and they’ll look to get a result,” added Chris. “They’ll give everything and will want to win in front of their own fans.
“I’m sure they will field their strongest team irrespective of the games they’ve got coming up and they will want to put things right after the first leg.
“We did well that night, scored at the right times to get that cushion but they have quality, they have pride and they will want to do well playing at home.”
