Kevin Bond is backing Jermain Defoe to find the right response to last week's penalty woes at Everton as we prepare to face Wolves on Saturday.
Despite adding another goal to his tally, Jermain, the Premier League's top scorer with 12 league goals so far this term, left Goodison Park disappointed after his injury time spot kick was saved by Tim Howard.
That would have clinched maximum points but instead we had to settle for a point after we'd led 2-0 - ‘JD' on target to open the scoring, Michael Dawson adding the second - only for the home side to come storming back with two goals in the final 12 minutes.
"It's part and parcel of football and you have to be brave to step up and take a penalty at that stage," said assistant boss Kevin. "Players are going to miss them occasionally and it happens to the best.
"You can't worry about it and you have to move on.
"Jermain's got a terrific goalscoring record, he's scored some goals that maybe he should never have scored and he's just got to move on. I'm sure he'll do that."
Boss Harry Redknapp added: "He'll bounce back from that, of course. Nothing stops him from shooting and scoring goals. Yes, it hurt him, but he'll be fine, no problems."
