Robbie Keane was left to reflect on a special day as he netted four goals in a game for the first time in his career in the 5-0 win against Burnley.
The skipper led from the front as we got back to winning ways in the Barclays Premier League and made it 10 goals in a week following the Carling Cup victory against Preston.
He opened the scoring from the penalty spot after Jermain Defoe was brought down in the first half, Jermaine Jenas made it 2-0 and after a tighter first period at the start of the second half, scored three goals in the space of 14 minutes to secure the points and the matchball.
It was Robbie's third hat-trick for us but his first since 2003.
"It's the first time in my career I've scored four goals and it's a great feeling," he said. "I'm delighted with that and hopefully there are a few more goals to come.
"All strikers are judged on scoring goals, I'm always pleased when I score goals and to score four was fantastic."
All four goals were finished with aplomb - the pick of the bunch his second goal, fired into the roof of the net from 12 yards from Aaron Lennon's precise cutback.
"It was one of those days," he added. "I hit it well and sometimes they go in, other days they'll go over the bar. Luckily for me it went in and I was delighted with that."
And there were further chances in added time - first he couldn't quite get his toe right in front of goal to another fine cross from Aaron and then he opted to pass to Wilson Palacios instead of shooting.
"I just couldn't reach Azza's cross," he smiled. "And with the second chance, I just tried to pass it instead, I saw Wilson and wanted to get him in to score."
Away from his four-goal haul, Robbie said it was vitally important to get back to winning ways in the league.
"We conceded six goals in the last two league games, so it was crucial we got a good result and a clean sheet, I was just as delighted with that," he added. "We defended well and Carlo didn't have too much to do.
"Attacking-wise, we were fantastic. It's important to get the first goal in matches like that and once we did, it really opened the game up.
"In the first half in particular, our attacking play and our passing and movement was fantastic. It must have been great for the fans because it was great to play in."
