Gareth Bale insists the team will take heart from the performance despite our 1-0 defeat at the hands of Hull City on Sunday.
Juande Ramos' side dominated for large periods of the game and hit the woodwork twice, including when Gareth himself struck the bar with a first half free-kick.
The Welshman also went close with another set-piece which turned out to be the last kick of the game, but it wasn't to be and we are left still searching for the first victory of the season.
Gareth is now hopeful we can turn our chances into goals when we resume league action after the current international break.
"I think we played well as a team and created a lot of chances, but we just can't seem to get the ball in the back of the net at the moment," he said.
"But the fact we do seem to be playing better as a team suggests that win will come sooner rather than later.
"I think the key in these games might be to score the first goal because that could settle us down so we can play our own game instead of chasing all the time.
"We're just going to keep working hard in training and see what happens. We'll come back from the international break refreshed and ready to go."
Talking about his last-minute free-kick, Gareth added: "It was close and the keeper didn't move, so it was a bit unlucky but hopefully it will come soon."
